Keeley'n Spotlight: Joshua Cox
With nearly 20 years in the restoration industry, Joshua Cox has worked his way through nearly every role in the business. Starting as a field laborer and eventually becoming an assistant branch manager, he’s experienced restoration from both the field and leadership sides.
That experience has given him a strong understanding of what crews need and what it takes to support them. It’s also given him plenty of reasons to stick with an industry where no two jobs are the same.
“There’s always a different challenge, something to figure out, or something new to learn,” he says. “Even after 20 years, you still run into things you haven’t seen before.”
That same mindset brought him to Keeley Restoration, where he is now helping build the Chicago team. Having already established relationships with Jeff Kelley, President of Keeley Restoration Services, and Kyle Burns, Regional Manager, he was familiar with their leadership and excited by the opportunity to help grow Keeley’s presence in Chicago.
More than 10 years ago, Jeff helped him get his start in the Chicago market. Now, he’s helping build a new team in that same market.
“It’s funny how life comes full circle,” he says.
Since joining Keeley, he’s been proud of how quickly the Chicago team has come together. He’s also had the opportunity to support teams in Dubuque and Columbus and work with people across the company.
“I like having a hand in a lot of different things,” he says. “Watching things come together and knowing you had a part in it is rewarding.”
While building the Chicago team has been a major focus, the people have made the experience especially rewarding. From the beginning, he’s felt welcomed and supported by Keeley’ns across the company. Whether working through a project issue, asking a question or looking for another perspective, he knows there are people willing to help.
That support has reinforced something that stood out to him when he first visited Keeley’s corporate office: the company’s investment in its people. He’s taken advantage of training and development opportunities himself and appreciates the encouragement to keep learning.
“There’s also trust here,” he says. “You’re given the opportunity to take ownership, contribute, and grow, with people behind you to help.”
After two decades in restoration, he’s still looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn. Now, he gets to do that while helping shape the future of Keeley Restoration in Chicago.
Joshua, thank you for bringing your experience, energy and dedication to growing Keeley Restoration in Chicago. Your relationships, fresh perspective and PRIDE in being a Keeley’n are already helping lay the foundation for what’s ahead. We’re excited to see what you and the team continue to build together.
