Keeley Restoration Services is steadily growing and our team is constantly driving our vision forward. Dawn Street, Administrative Assistant, keeps the team on track and our customers happy, all while growing her own career and reaching her goals.
Dawn joined KRS upon its inception in 2021, jumping in head first. It has been an exciting journey and one that she is proud to be part of. Keeley has given her the tools, resources, and support she has needed to advance her position and she knows that with Keeley and her team behind her, she will accomplish amazing things. This support also allows Dawn to feel incredibly empowered in her work.
“I feel empowered when I am able to see the end results of a project. Just the feeling of watching a project come together and all the things that it takes to make it a success gives me an immense sense of pride!”
Dawn joined the construction industry in 2015 because it is an industry that will always be in demand, and she immediately knew that she could pave her own path and provide a future for herself and her family. Joining a male-dominated industry was a bit intimidating at first, but Dawn knew the value she could provide to her team and quickly realized how rewarding it is know that she can do the same task and work just as hard as the person next to her no matter what. This has given her the courage to keep pushing forward and proving to herself that she can do anything she sets her mind to. After almost a decade in the industry, if Dawn could give a piece of advice to women just starting out, it would be:
“Don’t lose your voice. It is very easy to become part of the crowd. Do not be afraid to ask questions so you can better understand what you are doing or what is expected from you.”
Throughout her time in the industry and her time at KRS, Dawn has learned a lot of lessons. However, the most valuable lesson she has learned that she applies every single day is truly listening to understand and not listening just to hear. It can be hard to slow down and make sure you completely understand some things, but for Dawn, this lesson has helped her grow and really form a vision for her future. Dawn is looking forward to growing with KRS, learning along the way and passing on her knowledge to the next generation. The sky is the limit with Keeley and she can’t wait to see where she ends up.
“My favorite part about being a Keeley’n is knowing that I have a very supportive team who is always behind me cheering me on! Every person who I encounter is not only willing to help, but they are not scared to jump in with you and help you become the best that you can be.”
Dawn, thank you for your dedication to KRS and for supporting every single Keeley’n. Your attitude, grit, and perseverance will help take us to the next level!
